Houston Firm Rolling Out Video Resumes Enterprise Wide
Video resumes helping search, recruiting and staffing firms land business, provide unique differentiator.
HOUSTON, TX, April 06, 2011 /Employment - Careers PR News/ -- Meador Staffing isn't the kind of company to watch change happen - they prefer to lead and let the competition follow. During the recession, Meador took a hard look at their staffing business and tried to envision where technology and social media might be taking the industry. "We quickly realized that our business model was going to have to change if we wanted to remain relevant in our market - we needed something new to show our clients that Meador is committed to being the market leader" said Morgan Meador, the company's Director of Communications.
In October of 2010, Meador executives attended a staffing seminar, where they learned about video resumes and the potential impact on social media - it really resonated. "This tool can work for the benefit of the job seeker and the company, saving time and increasing candidate marketability--who wouldn't want that?" said Morgan. Meador took a leap of faith and installed TalentRoostervideo resume technology in their corporate office. "We figured we would try it at corporate and if it worked, we would roll it out enterprise wide", Morgan continued. The impact was immediate. Michelle Martinez, a Meador Recruiter, shares "We love using TalentRooster video resumes. It really works! This week we sent out a candidate's video resume who had insurance background to local insurance firms and this candidate received a job offer! The candidate will start on Monday! It is effective and employers love it!"
Staffing experts know that leaving voicemail or sending email is not an effective tool to land business - you need something more compelling. A client won't read more than a sentence of an email, but they can't help clicking a link to view a candidates video. "No question this needs to be a top down initiative or your recruiters won't buy in. However, once they get in the habit of using the technology your firm will be off to the races", said TalentRooster CEO David DeCapua.
Meador Staffing will be adding TalentRooster technology to five additional branch locations; making six total for their company. Meador recruiters control the recording process at corporate, while the branches have opted for a candidate controlled "kiosk" version.
Video resumes provide a competitive advantage for job seekers and give recruiters another tool to make faster placements. TalentRooster is excited to continue their partnership with Meador in their quest to help candidates find employment and making that "perfect match" for their clients.
